I am a Cloud and DevOps Systems Engineer. I spend my days managing AWS infrastructure and automating CI/CD pipelines.
In my free time, I build zero-backend browser applications. I am very interested in pushing the limits of client-side architecture using TypeScript, Astro, and WebAssembly. My recent projects include a local bulk HTML to Markdown parser and a serverless thermodynamics calculator for German building codes. I prefer building tools that require no databases, no maintenance, and no user accounts. I write about these architectural choices under the handle SlashGordon.
Offline, I apply the same pragmatic engineering principles to physical construction. I handle heavy DIY home improvement projects like pouring concrete foundations and rebuilding electrical sub-panels. I am a father to two daughters.
