Most hobbyist OS developers stop at printing "Hello World" to a text-mode VGA screen. I took the hardcore path and built a living ecosystem.
Current Architecture:
· Mode: True 64-bit Long Mode (x86_64). · Memory: Custom physical page manager and my own heap (kmalloc/kfree). Currently running in a single address space in Ring 0. · Low-level: Custom GDT, IDT, PIC, PS/2 drivers, RTC, and full PCI initialization.
The Main Uniqueness: Custom Network Stack & TLS 1.3 in Ring 0 The kernel has its own network stack for the Intel e1000 NIC (Ethernet -> ARP -> IP -> TCP -> DHCP -> DNS).
But that wasn't enough. On top of TCP, I implemented my own TLS 1.3 protocol with a hand-written cryptographic library. No OpenSSL or MbedTLS. Everything from scratch: SHA-256, HMAC, HKDF, AES-GCM, and X25519.
The system can make real secure HTTPS requests. Right now, there is a terminal running inside LimonOS that communicates with AI models (via OpenRouter API) and displays the responses on screen.
Graphics: No 80x25 console limitations. I built a custom graphical interface using a Framebuffer, a window manager called Orchard, and a terminal called Zest (which supports Cyrillic fonts).
Development Context: I want to be fully honest: development has only been going on for 4 days. I used an AI assistant to help me because I was doing this alone and had to overcome many errors. I am not ashamed of it. I am just sharing my progress.

I want to hear your opinions: what and how to improve so the system works and becomes stable? I really love making my own OS, like Terry Davis, and I hope I don't go crazy.
