    Hi, HN,

I created AgentEd because I wanted a simple, visual Markdown editor that I could use to write and edit knowledge documents, AI briefs, and various other texts, one that could be used locally, offline, and without an account. I’d been working for a while on a tool I developed for this purpose, and I decided to polish it up and release it as open source.

With AgentEd, you can open and edit .md file visually, simply, and intuitively. You can work with headings, lists, tables, images, and footnotes.

AgentEd also includes some features useful when working with AI, like real-time token estimation (cl100k_base), an optional YAML frontmatter panel and code blocks.

AgentEd uses a small installer (under 5 MB, for Windows and macOS). It is not yet digitally signed, so warnings are to be expected upon first launch (installation help is available on the website). Licensed under the MIT License, built with Tauri.

I’m available to answer any questions.
