I have always enjoyed NYT style 'daily' word games (Crossword, Spelling Bee, Wordle) so I decided to create my own. I never loved the luck element of Wordle, and spelling bee while enjoyable, is ultimately very simplistic and lacking in strategy.
You can think of Wordchutes game play basically as Boggle - find 3+ letter words from a 4x4 grid including diagonals - but also with Tetris style gravity and look ahead planning. Everyone gets the same board each day and the goal is to fully clear all 32 tiles, with a secondary goal of maximizing your score via using longer words.
Browser game is free, including the archive, and I just released Android and iOS native apps this week which also include free daily play. There's a one time unlock for offline play, and additional features like the ability to play 3x3 and 5x5 grids.
Early reception from friends, family and reddit has all been super encouraging, would love any feedback!
