The normal sleep study kit is very invasive, my partner said it made normal sleep next to impossible. (She was being assessed for sleep apnoea risk) if this study as a corollary can say accelerometer study is good enough to eg weed some cases out, it would be super useful for doing triage before the more invasive process.
