Beyond just the sale of electronics and the end of an era, this website itself should be generally interesting to HN as a super-responsive client-side catalog. It's difficult to find an item you're looking for if you don't know German words for electronics, but just click on some random ones. It's an SPA that holds the whole catalog data in memory and doesn't use any framework, so it responds instantaneously.
It also predates JSON, so data is loaded in a long list of array assignments, which is a fun quirk.
