It is interesting to note that “your wealth profile being tied to OpenAI’s stock price” exerts remarkably similar directional pressures as the Basilisk would if it were real.
Is there anything that makes this argument less ridiculous than Pascal's wager?
I swear these "thought experiments" just like Fermi's Paradox etc are so ridiculous once you look past the surface level. Like Baby's First Philosophy
