    It is pretty upsetting to read. There should be women lawyers going after these institutions or nothing will change.

    "Men with Parkinson’s were more likely to be referred for deep brain stimulation, while those with liver failure were more likely to receive a transplant than women.     I'm not familiar with the matter, and this might be a touchy subject, but, I've heard of studies saying that men seek medical help with a higher threshold than women. Does that affect the doctors' priors? (Article is also behind paywall). I realize people with an agenda might use similar arguments, but if you assume I'm not having any.
