I dont know, I read their reasons for not using a static site but that doesn't really convince me of anything but shortcuts taken.
A static site would be a bit more up front work perhaps but ultimately saves so very much from being a headache long term.
A dynamic CMS for a simple blog ultimately is just technical debt, AI or not it should be no surprise you pay for it sooner or later, whether mentally or from having to pay for "better hosting" on what should be a rather simple serve.
Running a personal site was easy - until we started to overcomplicate it. CMS, vulnerability of it, disappearing sites that we linked in good assumption…
For those who want to use Wordpress, add wordfence plugin immediately after fresh installation.
