I started writing a 500-page science fiction novel when I was 12. At 14, I finally published it.

I finished the first version in about a year, but even after finishing it, I never felt that it was truly ready. I kept going back to it, making small changes and trying to improve it.

Eventually, I realised that at some point, you have to let a project go.

The book is called The Bond (Side in Finnish). It follows Denma Yvek to the distant planet of Trappist-1e, where reality, time and space begin to distort. The story explores the balance between good and evil, and our responsibility as humans when faced with our own nature.

Looking back, I can't fully express how much this project influenced my life. Writing the book sparked my interest in space, which eventually led me towards the research and projects I work on today.

I'm finally sharing it now, after spending years revising it.

I've put the book and the prologue here: http://lukatakki.com/side

If you happen to read the prologue, I'd genuinely be interested to hear what you think.
