More and more non-technical people can now build things they’ve always wanted to build, including their own websites.
As a non-technical person myself, I built my own website simply because I’ve always loved building things, but never really had the medium or technical skills to do it.

The article resonated with me personally, though. I taught a continuing ed course on creating personal websites (with AOLpress!) in the late 90s and had my own until giving it up in 2016 or so, but coincidentally decided to try again this month.
I honestly don't know what explanation is worse when these pieces about the value of human expression are generated by an LLM. It's gotta be malicious trolling or complete delusion.

I actually moved my WEB Site to Gemini with a mirror on Gopher. My site is still active with links to the my G* Sites.
I find maintaining both Gemini and Gopher is much easier than the WEB.
