I've had a glass of wine, but isn't it 3 half-hitches inside each other?
This knot is tricky to tie, you can't just "tug" the ends. It requires patience and precision.
I have been using knot tying diagrams as one of my personal “pelican on a bicycle” evaluations, and this is the first one that really shocked me. The spacial reasoning is there!
Would be useful if the strands were different colors.
