Only an own-goal if it negatively impacts them, right?

How many 1Password users will even know about this, and of those, how many will care?

Publicity stunts like this are why I deliberately avoid SaaS products like 1Password, even if it's nicer than my Keepass workflow.

When you can see a train like this coming down the tracks, you get off the rails ASAP.

    So the chain here is:

    - 1password contributes the Omarchy foundation

    - Omarchy is a project by DHH

    - DHH has some evil opinions

I agree with all of that - DHH has a long history of being awful - but I think it's a little stretched to boycott 1password as a result, or to think it'll materially impact 1password.

This appears to be the relevant blog post by DHH, from last month: https://world.hey.com/dhh/wolves-sheep-and-gypsies-ba44af6a

This seems more like defamation (although indirect since he's citing someone who is doing the defaming.

    From the linked article:

    > In “As I remember London,” he voiced support for ethnically cleansing London of minorities.

It's nice of him to link to the post so we can check ourselves. I did though and yea.. that's not what's in the post.
