The headline and the article itself are very confusing. In one part it says, and I quote “the research is still funded”.

One can find new researchers, right? What was the plan for once these researchers retire?
To the casual observer, the most rational conclusion is that this administration really doesn't care about illness prevention.
Or they flat out want the old and vulnerable to die.
