Hello everyone, I am Akshit Gaur, the student who authored this post.

I spent the summer migrating Redox from Round Robin to Deficit Weighted Round Robin and now finally to EEVDF. It was hard-work, espescially because this was my first time working on a codebase that was not my own.

The move has netted us quite significant gains (including one 782x, read the post for the context ;) ).

I also have the same post mirrored on my personal site (https://himwant.org/posts/redox-eevdf/#did-it-change-anythin...) with the only difference being, a duck speaking sanskrit and an owl translating for her.

    Happy to answer any questions!

(P.S. I am entering my final year of CS at JNU and actively looking for a systems/Rust internship for Jan–April 2027, transitioning into a full-time role after. If your team works at the lower levels of the stack, I’d love to connect. My email and resume are on my site: himwant.org)
