iOS 15 will be 6 years old in 2027. The oldest iPhone that supports iOS 15 is the iPhone 6s, released in 2015.
I think this is fair.
I don't see why though. Why not just let the developers do their thing? My hacker news app HACK supports from ios 11 and there's a few devices still using it. There is no reason for me to drop support for them except Apple forcing me to.
