What if you end up with unmaintainable junk? What if it almost works, and you have to fix it, and you have no idea how?
None of this is new ground.
I admit at first, I thought the title meant, what if I can fix the issue faster than you can explain it to me? Because I wrote the code, and know where the demons hide.
First you complain about AI writing unmaintainable junk and then admit you know where the demons in your code live. You are defensive.
One thing I have found coding very complex financial models and trading systems is that they’re difficult and many times brittle, getting others to write code is time consuming and frustrating. Getting AI to write the same thing is fast and not at all tedious, it just gets the job done, no complaining, no rightous arguments. AI can pick up a new protocol and build a complex system in mere minutes where a normal intermediate coder would take a week to get up to speed.
When set up properly it makes me from 5 to 10 times as productive and costs far less. Offshoring is definitely dead, constulants gone and at least half the coders at most organizations should start looking for other work asap.

I can’t take anyone seriously who hasn’t had a lot of tedious experiences trying to get AI to do something, or even answer questions. This makes me assume everything is accepted on blind faith in the model, even they are still wrong, or show poor judgement, constantly.
If a human worked the same way AI does, I would never want to work with them.
