Author here - my mistake in a sense: I submitted from a fresh account (I'd forgotten my 2017 one) and the spam filter caught it, as those are tuned strictly for accounts with no history. I emailed the mods; they merged my accounts and made a fresh copy of the submission so it gets its normal run on /newest - that's this one. The earlier item probably should be dead; I'll flag it to them.
