Is this a way of saying that adults provide children with AI more than they use it themselves?

This is such a mixed message.

    > Around 13 million children say they use it for learning or homework. More than 2 million — one in ten of those surveyed — turn to AI for personal advice when facing difficult situations.

Almost like they were let down by grownups or tried to learn about the world.

    Shocking.

(That isn't to say there aren't risks but the posted article is weird, almost like haphazardly tried to summarize and "explain" a message.

the document from UNICEF have more details about this

      https://www.unicef.org/innocenti/documents/snapshot-ai-usage...

What I gather is that they measure whether they are using AI at all. The 3x seems to be the "Percentage of children who have used AI" vs "Percentage of parents/ caregivers who have used AI"

Children are more vulnerable and more easily influenced, and so are easily swept up by a new technology being rolled out non-consensually society wide, much like social media ~20 years ago.
