ICE has moved from being an immigration enforcement agency to being the secret police the authoritarian in charge uses to punish his political enemies constituencies. It's operating with a $30 billion dollar budget as part of and supported by a larger $170 billion immigration package. I know godwin'ing is generally in bad form, but as someone who lives in the twin cities metro area ICE is currently acting as the gestapo.
