I feel like this will just lead to kids creating accounts hiding their age or moving their activity to places where there are fewer protections.
Kids have infinite time and energy to work around these things.
I think that the kind of thinking and process following required of getting around these barriers will lead to better outcomes than "just letting them have it".
They're at least earning something they want, more than they were before at least.

Or more, to kids using accounts willingly verified by their parents, finding a free solution to a pressing problem.
Age is verified in signup. Why no talk of the effect of lack of age verification in use?
