I run a few small services (APIs, bots and web apps) and I kept running into the same problem:
Most uptime monitoring tools are either
too expensive
too complex
or built for enterprise teams
All I really wanted was:
check if a URL is alive
know when it goes down
get notified when it recovers
see response time over time
So I ended up building a tiny tool for myself that does exactly that.
It monitors websites and APIs 24/7 and sends alerts via email, WhatsApp and webhooks.
I’m curious how others here handle this: What are you using today to monitor uptime for small or personal projects?
Your mom, every time she wakes me up I say "hold on baby let me check some stuff."
