I’ve been using tools like NotebookLM for research, but I struggled with the linear sidebar approach to source management. When you're dealing with 20+ PDFs, videos, and web clips, a list makes it hard to see the "big picture" or understand how ideas connect.

I built Visbrain to move AI context onto a spatial canvas. The core idea is that proximity equals context:

Spatial Selection: Instead of ticking checkboxes in a list, you can select a cluster of sources on the canvas to "scope" the AI's knowledge to that specific area.

Multi-Modal: You can drop in PDFs, YouTube links diagrams and websites.

Visual Organization: You can map out your research visually while chatting with the model about the specific items in your viewport.

It’s helped me move away from "digging through files" to "working with ideas."

I’m really looking for feedback on the workflow: Does a canvas feel more intuitive than a sidebar for your research, or does it add too much friction? I'll be here to answer any questions!
