In order to be able to do this, the training dataset must have been absolutely flooded with nude images. It's very hard to believe nobody said "what might go wrong here" but then again, look at the company ethos from the top down.

It being one of the only NSFW, non-PG, models is one of its selling points.
So in risk terms, nobody in corporate legal said "wow, the potential fails in CSAM and DV here..."
That's an irrational conclusion.
Right: they said it, and nobody in charge cares.
