I love broadening HN's topics list in the spirit of curiosity.
Kind of a mixed bag, really.
I believe in historic Jesus and I think he was a revolutionary who succeeded in his peaceful politics and was thus put to death.
His movement was then made inert and magical in order to make it compatible with empires, like the Roman.
It seems like things are flipping. In the spirit of Christmas
It seems like things are flipping in the spirit of fascism.
There is very little that is "Christian" about a lot of the policy being implemented nowadays.
And Christmas is just another example.
As has been done in the past, "faith" is serving as a tool of control and manipulation and acquiescence.
